The Mission of Synergy Works

Mission Statement:

To help members establish strategic partnerships, increase sales through referrals and sharpen business skills via advanced training seminars.

Goals:

Synergy Works seeks to attract serious business people who “get” networking. By targeting individuals who already understand the value of connections, the group plans to:

  • develop business alliances within the group
  • create an environment where members “share their rolodexes”
  • train each other on how to generate prospects
  • bring qualified referrals to the table
  • offer monthly business-oriented seminars with networking
  • focus on value through introductions and partnering
  • work within an atmosphere of respect rather than rules

Structure:

Membership is within an individual chapter. Each chapter will meet weekly for maximum impact and visibility of members. In addition, once a month there will be an area wide, optional networking opportunity which will feature a speaker addressing a relevant business issue.

Membership within the group is not exclusive, e.g. several residential realtors could all belong to one chapter. Similarly, there are no restrictions on membership to any other networking groups. The logic is that people who are “connected” bring extra value to the group by virtue of outside relationships.
To facilitate referrals between members in different chapters, the web site will always be current and available to all active members.

Memberships are available on an annual basis. Individual memberships are $250. Team memberships (up to 2 people from the same company belonging to the same chapter) are $400.

There are only 2 rules:

  • Attendance is mandatory, but flexible, with 6 absences permitted per year
  • No subs, but absences can be “made up” by attending the monthly mixers

To ensure that members are actively participating, an Ethics Committee will oversee standards. This committee will approve all applications and renewals. Handling these issues outside of the chapter level removes chapter members from the burden of imposing sanctions on fellow members.
